It's Been Longer than a While
Hey guys it's Alex from...muffins are tasty?
I think its safe to say its been about SEVEN MONTHS since my last post on this blog. And I think I need to tell you why that is:
You know when you look back at something you did last year, or the year before that, (or just anytime besides the present basically), and you cringe at how embarrassing something you did, or wore or said? Well that's kind of me right now. Every time I watch one of my old YouTube videos or read an old blog post I wrote about sour yogurt, I kind of die a little inside. So, naturally, the easiest thing for me to do about this was avoid it. Not post anything.
Since I started making YouTube videos and blog posts when I was in the 5th/6th grade, and its been over 3 years since my first entry on this blog, of course I've changed since that time period. Don't worry, I am still crazily in love with muffins and still crazy, weird and an awkward person per usual, but I'm at a blank. I'm at a blank of because I don't know what to post and what to make. This is most likely because I've honestly been investing most of my time on things like tumblr. (insert awkward emoji here).
Although tumblr has a completely different layout than original blog creators like blog spot, it is what I am doing in my time period right now. (This usually just consists of me confined in my bedroom, scrolling down my dashboard for hours at a time). Nonetheless I actually create content on my tumblr, and get more feedback on there than I ever imagined I would.
I would love to give you the link of my tumblr, but I don't know which one to give you because I have a comedy one that I haven't touched in a millennium, (I literally think it was the Mesopotamian era) and I have a fandom one, which if anyone ever finds, I'm going to light myself on fire, so...as you can see I'm in a sticky situation.
I've also had the usual teenage dilemma of balancing school work, with my job (yes, I, Alex have a job), as well as preparing/playing sports. (not plural, I really just play tennis). I also rarely get free-time and when I do, I spend it practicing guitar or free-writing. Overall, it's been really hard for me to sit down and spew off ideas for what to make on this blog and on my YouTube.
When everything in your life is moving so fast, it's often hard to realize how much time has actually passed. I almost screamed out loud when I read the date: September 22nd, 2013, because I couldn't believe that was my last blog-post before this one, and that time went by so quickly. I guess that's kind of cliche, but it's completely true...well at least for me.
I'm not at all saying I'm never going to post on this blog again, but I am saying it may take me a while to get new ideas. For me, ideas don't always just pop out of nowhere and give me this strive for inspiration. It sometimes takes me weeks, or months to come up with something that actually makes sense and that's not something stupid like 'Bananas aren't yellow after all'. And I know it has been 7 months already, and you probably think I'm the laziest person ever (I ain't denying) but once again, I just didn't want to post content I, myself, wasn't satisfied with because I genuinely didn't have any inspiration for videos or posts at all during those months.
If you want, stick around and see what happens, because honestly I would love to see what happens as well.
Thank you if you're still reading this,
-Alex

Two Important Things
Hi guys it's Alex from Muffins are Tasty and I have two important things to bring up.
One: Tumblr. I can't believe I didn't have one before. But, it seriously is great. If you don't have one, go make one because it is like the best invention life has.
Two: Sherlock. Sherlock is a TV series on BBC that is....perfection. I mean it's great for the female population...because have you seen them?!British men who solve cases...yep I'm sold. But, don't get me wrong , you fellows out there will love it too because who doesn't love a show that is based off the original Sherlock Holmes? The link to watch the series is under the pages section on the blog. Check it out!

Buffy The Vampire Slayer (A.K.A. LIFE)
Hi guys it's Alex from 'Muffins are Tasty' and as some of you know, I just happen to be a tad bit obsessed with the show 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer'. It all started in Ms. Gray's class this year when we had MCAS. Instead of letting us all slowly shrivel up and die by letting our brains explode of too much knowledge, she was more than kind enough to let us watch Buffy for three day's straight, because she knew how exhausted we were from the testing. And I think I speak for all of my class-mates when I say...IT'S THE BEST SHOW ON THE EARTH. LIKE BUFFY AND ANGEL=ASJDJKLDFHJ PERFECTION. Sorry I think my teenage self just took over, but you won't know what exactly I'm talking about until you watch! So go on teenagers of the world...or just the two people that may be reading this...Go watch Buffy!
(Recommendations for where to watch Buffy):
-Netflix if you have it
-You can try YouTube but I can't guarantee every episode is on there
-Project Free Tv has ALL the episodes of every season, but before you go on the site here are some key things to know:
-Project Free Tv has tons of ad's that can get annoying and cause harm to your computer...so make sure you DOWNLOAD POP UP BLOCKER (this wont give you any virus's and in fact protect your computer from ad's that can make your computer worsen in speed, etc.)
-ONLY STREAM. DO NOT DOWNLOAD. If you download the episodes there is a risk that you can get virus's. So just watch them.
-To get to the site just click the page I created: Project Free TV: Link to Buffy (you can click on the text and it will take you directly there)
Thanks as always guys and...go watch Buffy! (down below is the season one opening theme song)

Summer...is Almost Over
Hi guys it's Alex from 'Muffins Are Tasty' and...whoa there, wait what's the title of this post? Yes, unfortunately, Summer is in fact coming to an end. (insert dramatic screams of terror here). But fortunately enough, most of the people viewing the blog are entering High-School for the first time as Freshman! So my question for you is simple: Are you scared for High-School or are you excited? (even feeling mixed is fine). I, personally, feel scared, yet excited as well. Excited because even though it involves this weird thing called learning things and suffering in a horrible place for seven hours every day, I get to see my friends, as well as enjoy some of the classes I actually really do love learning about. But I also feel nervous/scared because of the new teachers and the new atmosphere in general. Everyone says High-School is the most important 4 YEARS OF YOUR LIFE. And that scares me just a wee-bit. Parents always say "This determines where you go to college...which determines your career...which determines your life!" so of course the immediate reaction for a 14-year-old is to lock themselves in their panic room and cradle themselves back and forth. Well, maybe not that...but the initial reaction is to be a bit scared and get some nerves. Why? Because most people tend to be intimidated by things that they have never experienced before! Example: Switching schools. At first your intimidated by the students because you have no idea what they're like. But, after a while you warm up to them because you get to know them. So children, hopefully, as your peers tell might have told you once before, "Oh it's not that bad!". And I think it will indeed get better after a bit, so good luck to all the freshman out there!
QUESTION: Are you scared or excited for High-School?

It's Spring....right?
Hi guys it's Alex from Muffins are Tasty and I want to tell you something embarrassing...I kind of completely forgot about this blog for a couple of months! I know I say this a lot but I was really busy with homework, tennis, family, and other things going on in my life! I'm so sorry I haven't posted since January, and to make it up to you I will fix up the blog and make it spring theme since it is now...spring! Once again I apologize!
